A woman allegedly bit off part of a man’s ear during a violent confrontation outside a girls’ hostel in Pune’s Deccan area, leading to injuries and legal action. The incident occurred on Monday evening when a misunderstanding over alleged misconduct escalated into physical violence.

According to police, Milind Vasant Kothari (40), a resident of Shirole Road and a professional driver, suffered multiple injuries including a bitten ear that required five stitches. He was also wounded on his abdomen and needed two stitches.

Kothari was with two friends, Abhijit Jadhav and Amit Khengre, conversing near the Lokmanya Girls’ Hostel when Suresh Vitthal Kamble (60), the hostel owner, and his daughter-in-law confronted them. The duo accused the men of harassing hostel inmates. When the trio denied the allegations, the situation turned aggressive.

Further investigation is underway.
