Pune Woman Dies After Falling From 8th Floor of Residential Tower in Talegaon; Suicide Angle Under Probe
Pune, May 11, 2026: A 35-year-old woman died after falling from the eighth floor of a residential building in Pune district’s Talegaon MIDC area on Saturday afternoon, police officials said.
The incident took place at around 1:30 pm at Urban Life Society in Katvi village of Maval taluka.
According to police, the woman was reportedly hanging onto the balcony railing on the eighth floor for several minutes before she lost her grip and fell. Local residents who gathered below allegedly tried to assist her, but she fell before any rescue attempt could succeed.
A video related to the incident has been widely circulated on social media platforms.
Senior Police Inspector Santosh Patil of Talegaon MIDC Police Station said initial investigations indicate a suspected suicide angle, although the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be determined.
Police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) and launched a detailed investigation into the case.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the fall, where doctors declared her dead during treatment.
