Pune: Young Athlete Yash Gullapelli From Undri Shines In Taekwondo And Long-Distance Running
Pune, June 11, 2026: Young athlete Yash Gullapelli has been making impressive progress in both taekwondo and endurance sports, showcasing dedication, discipline and a strong commitment to fitness. He is a Grade IX student of a private school in Undri.
Recently, Yash completed the 10-km category at the Vrukshathon Half Marathon 2026 with an official timing of 59 minutes and 30 seconds. Earlier this year, he participated in the Runs & Miles Half Marathon 2026 (10 km), clocking 1 hour, 3 minutes and 20 seconds and securing fifth place in the Under-16 Boys category. He also successfully completed the Pedals Power World Environment Day Challenge 2026, combining fitness with environmental awareness.

Apart from distance running, Yash has earned recognition in taekwondo, winning a gold medal in Speed Kick and a bronze medal in Poomsae at national-level competitions. He also took part in the GTTF Global Kick-a-Thon, an international initiative promoting discipline, fitness and unity.
Passionate about cycling, trekking and outdoor activities, Yash continues to pursue all-round development while balancing academics and sports. His upcoming sporting calendar includes participation in the Pune Marathon 2026 and the 21-km category at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2027.
Through his achievements across multiple disciplines, Yash has emerged as an inspiring example of perseverance, sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle for young athletes.
