Pune, May 8, 2026: The Central Government’s Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2026 has opened more than 31,480 internship opportunities across reputed companies in India.
Authorities have appealed to eligible youth from Pune district to take advantage of the scheme and apply within the stipulated period.
Under the scheme, the internship duration will generally be six to nine months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 during the internship period. Candidates who successfully complete the internship will also be awarded certificates.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian citizens aged between 18 and 25 years. Candidates who have passed Class 10 or 12, completed ITI or diploma courses, or graduated in streams such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, and BPharma are eligible to apply.
Candidates engaged in full-time jobs or regular full-time education courses will not be eligible. However, students pursuing online or distance education can apply. Final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students are also eligible under the scheme.
