‘Punyadasham’ to provide bus service at just Rs 10
The Pune Municipal Corporation in association with Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited will launch a midi bus service, ‘Punyadasham’ from July 10, 2021. The bus service will kick start from Mahatma Phule mandai area.
These air conditioned buses will begin it’s operations from three areas initially, Swargate to Shivaji Nagar, Deccan Gymkhana to Poolgate and Swargate to Pune station. These buses will cover all Peth areas of the Pune city and commuters will be able to travel at just Rs 10.

The information regarding these bus service was shared by Hemant Rasne, chairman, standing committee, PMC recently. He said, “With these midi bus service we aim at providing bus service in densely populated areas. The cost is low too so that many people can avail the service.
About the bus service :
These buses will be available at an interval of five minutes on the main roads and every 15 minutes on the internal roads. These buses would run on CNG. 50 such buses will run having seating capacity of 25. Soon, 300 such buses would be added to the fleet. The motive behind this service was to ditch use of private vehicles and reduce the traffic congestion mainly in densely populated areas like Peth areas in the Pune city.
