Due to alleged question paper leak, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) cancelled Friday’s exam for first-year MBA candidates.

Officials claimed that a question paper for the first semester’s exam Legal Aspect of Business, which was supposed to begin at 10 am, had been leaked from one of the Chikhali colleges.

It was discovered that the university’s Legal Aspect of Business exam question paper was making the rounds on social media prior to the test’s start. The university decided to cancel the paper as a result. According to preliminary information, an MBA college in the Chikhali area leaked the question paper for this subject. The head of SPPU’s board of examinations and evaluation said that they will conduct an investigation and take appropriate action against those found guilty.

About 7.5 lakh students from affiliated colleges in the three districts of Pune, Ahmednagar, and Nashik appear for exams administered by the university. November 21 marked the beginning of the examination period for the October 2023.

Students were seated in the examination halls at their respective centers, and the exam was scheduled to begin at 10 am. Along with other social media, WhatsApp was used to distribute this question paper.

According to a senior Pune University official, they learned about it at around 10.30 a.m. The students would have had to wait an additional two to three hours if the exam had been postponed and a new question paper had been provided. They made the decision to postpone the exam until December 26 in order to better serve the interests of the students.
