Rahul Chahar Confirms Separation from Wife Ishani After Legal Proceedings
Indian cricketer Rahul Chahar has officially announced the end of his marriage to Ishani, bringing a deeply personal chapter of his life to a close after more than a year of legal proceedings and reflection. The 26-year-old leg-spinner shared the update through a heartfelt statement on Instagram on Friday. He revealed that the past 15 months had been devoted to navigating court formalities while also taking time to reassess his life and personal growth.
In his message, Rahul admitted that he stepped into marriage at a young age, before fully understanding himself or the direction he wanted his life to take. What followed, he explained, were experiences and lessons he had never anticipated. The legal journey, according to him, became a period of learning—teaching him patience, resilience, and the value of honesty. Rahul confirmed that the separation has now been legally finalized. He described the end of the marriage not as a loss, but as a turning point. “I close this chapter not with anger or regret, but with clarity,” he wrote, emphasizing that he sees the transition as a reset rather than a failure.
He further shared that he moves ahead with greater self-awareness and a clearer vision for his future. Stressing that there is no bitterness in his heart, Rahul said he carries forward only the lessons learned and the courage to start afresh.
Rahul and Ishani had tied the knot in 2022. On the professional front, Rahul continues to focus on his cricketing journey. He made his international debut for India in 2019 and has represented the country in one One-Day International and six T20 Internationals, claiming eight wickets in total. He was also included in India’s squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup and last played for the national side in November 2021.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rahul has established himself as a consistent performer. During his stint with the Mumbai Indians, he picked up 75 wickets in 79 matches. Beginning this season, he will don the Chennai Super Kings jersey, marking a new phase in his domestic and league career.
