The members of Railway Pravasi Sangh, Pimpri Chinchwad  have written to the Railway authorities demanding increase in number of bogies in Pune Mumbai Pune Sinhagad express 11010 / 09. Previously, there were 19 bogies while the authorities have brought them down to 14.

Iqbal Mulani, president, Railway Pravasi Sangh, Pimpri Chinchwad told Pune Pulse that the number of bogies have been brought down to 14 from 19. This makes it inconvenient for passengers as many men and women have to stand in for a long period in a short space which leads to fights. Even today an incident occurred and the Railway Police Force had to intervene. This was the fourth incident in the last 15 days.

The members demanded that the number of bogies must go upto 16.

The demand is that two separate bogies must be introduced for Chinchwad and Pimpri station to reduce the load.

The members also suggested that Pune Mumbai Pune Pragati Express should also be given a stop at Chinchwad station during it’s journey. This will help the passengers greatly and save their time and accessibility will increase, added Mulani.
