In a candid revelation, actress Rakul Preet Singh shared an unusual but personal deal-breaker when it comes to relationships—food preferences. During an interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, Rakul disclosed that she once turned down a potential partner because he ordered fried food, specifically fried gyozas.
Rakul explained that the issue went beyond just food. It was about shared values and compatibility. “People have their own food choices but it became worse when he looked down on what I ordered,” she said. “He questioned my healthy choices and that’s when I decided it wouldn’t work. If we can’t share a meal and a lifestyle, it’s pointless.”
Her emphasis on lifestyle compatibility is also evident in her relationship with husband Jackky Bhagnani. The couple bonds over their health-conscious habits, even sharing something as simple as a protein bar. “For us, sharing a protein bar is fun. It’s like our dessert. These are small joys that money, fame and success can’t buy,” Rakul said, describing how these moments help strengthen their relationship.
Rakul also shared a spiritual approach to food, revealing that she once followed a vegan diet and even spoke to her food as part of a self-healing process. After addressing some unusual blood test results, she returned to her non-vegetarian lifestyle, crediting this mindful practice for her recovery.
Rakul Preet Singh, who tied the knot with Jackky Bhagnani in February this year, is preparing for her upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2, where she will star alongside Ajay Devgn.
