Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Ltd, recently expressed disappointment with Lamborghini India and Asia executives for their lack of response regarding issues he encountered as a customer. The textile tycoon took to the social media platform X, highlighting what he described as “arrogance” from Lamborghini’s top management.

Singhania was left stranded on Mumbai’s trans-harbour link while test-driving the new Lamborghini Revuelto, which suffered a complete electrical failure. This incident raised concerns about the car’s reliability. According to Singhania, it was the third instance within 15 days that a new Revuelto had faced issues. He shared a photo of the car being towed, saying, “Are these cars reliable?”

In his post, Singhania criticized Lamborghini’s India Head, Sharad Agarwal, and Asia Head, Francesco Scardaoni, for their lack of communication. He claimed that neither had reached out to inquire about the issue. “I’m shocked at the arrogance of India Head @Agarwal_sharad and Asia Head Francesco Scardaoni. Not one has reached out to even check what the customer issues are,” he wrote.

On October 3, Singhania first detailed his experience with the faulty vehicle. By October 5, he posted a follow-up with an image of the car being towed, continuing to question the brand’s reliability.

Singhania also accused Agarwal of ignoring a loyal customer. He noted, “It is shocking that the India Head of Lamborghini has not even bothered to make a phone call… Is the brand arrogance getting to another level?”

Singhania’s posts have since sparked a debate about luxury brands’ customer service in India.
