The speculation gained momentum after Vishal posted a strongly worded video criticising repeated examination leaks and urging citizens to elect “educated leaders.” Soon after, several social media pages began claiming that the makers of Indian Idol had dropped him from the reality show because of his political statements.

Putting the rumours to rest, Vishal shared a playful video directly from the sets of Indian Idol. In the clip, he was initially seen pretending to cry before suddenly laughing and saying, “Here I am, baby!” while standing on the show’s set.

Along with the video, Vishal posted a caption warning users against blindly believing online narratives. He wrote, “Remember not to trust anything you see online. There’s a whole lot of manipulation going on. Keep fighting the good fight, and saying what needs to be said!”

The post quickly went viral, drawing strong reactions from both supporters and critics. Many users praised Vishal for openly speaking on public issues, while others debated his political views in the comments section.

One user commented, “Serving fresh, much-needed wisdom, as always!” Another wrote, “Bros roasting is on point.” Some users also questioned why more Bollywood celebrities do not speak openly on issues affecting students and the country.

Vishal’s original video on the NEET-UG controversy had sparked widespread discussion online. Expressing solidarity with students affected by the paper leak, he criticised authorities over repeated exam-related controversies.

“It’s wrong that it happens every year; it’s even more wrong that no government agencies are taking responsibility,” Vishal said in the video.

He further added, “Those in power are not educated. This is going to destroy India. Please, if possible, elect better people, vote for good, educated people.”

The singer also urged voters not to make political decisions based on caste or religion, saying citizens must prioritise the country’s future and education system.

The NEET-UG paper leak controversy erupted after PDFs allegedly matching several examination questions surfaced online. The medical entrance examination, which was conducted on May 3 across India and international centres, was eventually cancelled. More than 22 lakh students had appeared for the test, and a re-examination has now been scheduled under tighter security arrangements.

Apart from his television appearances, Vishal Dadlani is widely known as one half of the composer duo Vishal–Shekhar, responsible for several Bollywood hits including “Balam Pichkari,” “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” and “Ishq Wala Love.”
