Repeat Offenders from Kondhwa, Mundhwa, and Hadapsar Banned from Entering Pune

Pune, June 3 – In a decisive move to clamp down on repeat offenders, Pune Police have externed four habitual criminals from the city limits for a period of two years. The action, taken under orders issued by the police commissioner on June 1, targets offenders from Kondhwa, Mundhwa, and Hadapsar.
Among those expelled from the city is Narayan Swami (38) of Kondhwa, who has seven criminal cases registered against him, ranging from unlawful assembly to assault and illegal liquor trade. Another resident of Kondhwa, Nehal Viraj Kumbhar (28), faces four cases for the sale of country-made liquor.
Shubham Kawade (30) from Fursungi has been booked in four serious cases, including attempted murder, causing grievous injury, and illegal possession of firearms. Also externed is Ganesh Meghnath Bhat alias Tamaychi (32), from Jadhav Vasti, Ghorpadi, with multiple charges for liquor-related offences and issuing threats.
This crackdown forms part of a broader campaign against criminal elements in Pune’s Zone V. Over the past five months, 71 habitual offenders have faced stringent legal actions. Of these, 37 have been jailed under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), and 13 under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA) and externment provisions.
