Replica of lungs installed outside Sambhaji Udyan on Jangli Maharaj road

Pune Municipal Corporation and Parisar, a Pune based NGO have installed a replica of lungs to spread the awareness about air pollution and its impact on health. 

Clean Air is our right – board stating the message is put up outside the Sambhaji Udyan on Jangli Maharaj road. A replica of lungs is also put up, a joint initiative by Parisar and Pune Municipal Corporation. The replica was opened on December 27 at the hands of Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Additional commissioner Dr Kunal Khemnar, Mangesh Dighe, environment officer, chief garden superintendent Ashok Ghorpade, Dr Swapnil Kulkarni, consultant pulmonologist and many others. 

The replica will be put for the next fifteen days. This is an initiative to measure the air quality and what steps can be taken to resolve the issues. Citizens are urged to visit the area and share their suggestions.
