Residents of NIBM-Undri Road Decry Pune Municipal Corporation’s Apathy
Residents of NIBM-Undri Road are grappling with deteriorating sanitation and cleanliness in their area, citing neglect by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Despite repeated complaints, the civic body has failed to address the mounting issues, leaving the residents frustrated and disillusioned.
Before the elections, PMC officials assured residents that their grievances would be resolved once election duties concluded. However, more than a week has passed, and no visible action has been taken to improve the situation. Garbage piles remain unattended, drains are choked, and streets are littered, posing health and hygiene risks for the community.

“The condition of our area is appalling. We were promised prompt action after the elections, but nothing has changed. It feels like our concerns are falling on deaf ears,” said a local resident.
The neglect has sparked widespread anger among the residents, who are now demanding accountability and immediate action from the municipal authorities. Many have taken to social media platforms to amplify their voices, urging civic officials to fulfill their duties.
The PMC’s inaction has raised questions about its commitment to maintaining basic public infrastructure. Residents hope their plight will finally compel the authorities to prioritize their concerns and ensure a cleaner, healthier environment.
