Pune : In the wake of the tragic accident of a 19-year-old girl in front of a garbage depot in Kothrud, an active Bavdhan resident Manish Deo has highlighted through a video the dire condition of the slippery road nearby Kothrud garbage depot.

Manish Deo, active resident of Bavdhan, has tweeted “One life is lost. How many more lives have to be gone for the PMC to wake up & act?”

Several netizens have expressed their opinions regarding this.

An X user says “Muralidhar Mohol, request you to look into this matter , it is hardly a few meters from your house.”

Another X user tweets “This seriously needs attention as soon as possible.”

Another X comments “Please look into these neglected issues, these are life taking & dangerous. Take strict and prompt action asap!”

AAP Pune has also highlighted this by stating “Even after the tragic accident happening some days ago near Kothrud garbage depot, it seems the PMC hasn’t paid attention to the road condition here. A lot of dirt & hazard is still present on the road. I think that the PMC has got several awards in Swachh Survekshan by giving bribes. The issue has persisted here for many years, still the PMC has become completely negligent about resolving this.”

The incident occurred in front of the garbage depot in Kothrud on Saturday (16th March). Last week, numerous vehicles slipped and were involved in accidents at this location due to the slippery road conditions.
