Rickshaw drivers stage Chakka Jam in front of RTO
A large number of rickshaw drivers staged a Chakka Jam in front of RTO on Monday demanding that the officials take action against illegal bike taxis.
Rickshaw drivers took a non-aggressive stand and this is the second time they are lodging their protest.
More than 12 rickshaw associations from Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune participated in the protest. Even after the 14-day ultimatum, the administration has not fulfilled the demands. The rickshaw pullers’ association want their demands met at any cost. The organizations have alleged that the authorities have not taken action against illegal bike taxis despite the orders given by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil.
