Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has started the land acquisition process for the initial phase of the ring road i.e. from Alandi to Nagar Road.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ramdas Jagtap, Deputy Collector, PMRDA, said “The land acquisition process has been started by the PMRDA in 3 villages for the 65 meter wide ring road. The initial land acquisition related meeting was conducted in Solu village. Next village would be Vadgaon Shinde & then Nirgude. Through these, we are getting to know the problems, suggestions etc of the villagers in these 3 villages regarding land. After finalizing & acquiring the required land from the 3 villages, further procedures will be done.”

As per further information, for this initial phase of the ring road i.e. Alandi to Nagar Road, 45 hectares of land would be required.

Earlier, the PMRDA had done a drone survey to speed up land acquisition for the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) ring road project –

The drones are being used for land acquisition and accurate planning. The information obtained by the drone is being used for planning and actual implementation. This will save time and cost. Disputes will be avoided as there will be no mistakes in the process of land acquisition. Accurate information is provided by drones.
