Road Repairs Underway By PMRDA From Sancheti Chowk To Pune UniversityÂ
Pune/Pimpri (September 2, 2024): The road repair work from Sancheti Chowk to Pune University Chowk has commenced. After inspecting the road, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase instructed the concerned department to undertake the repairs urgently. Following these instructions, road repair work is currently underway.
Due to the rains, the road from Sancheti Chowk to Pune University Chowk had deteriorated, causing several potholes and creating difficulties for motorists. Taking note of this, PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase held a meeting with the relevant department, conducted a site inspection, and issued immediate orders for road repairs. Accordingly, the engineers from Pune IT City Metro Line (PITCMRL) and PMRDA inspected the site and repaired the road from Sancheti Chowk to Pune University Chowk on Saturday, with remaining work completed on Sunday.
“Before the repair work, the road was leveled and cleaned. Following this, potholes were filled, and the road was asphalted and concreted in two phases. For this a retired Secretary of the Public Works Department, has been appointed by PITCMRL. The road repair work was carried out under the guidance of PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Chief Engineer of Engineering Department No. 2 Rinaz Pathan, and under the supervision of Superintendent Engineer Yogesh Kulkarni. Additionally, work will continue in phases as required in the future,” said Dr. Dnyaneshwar Bhale, Public Relations Officer, PMRDA.
