Members of Prashant Jagtap Friends Circle from Wanowrie handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs to Sassoon hospital.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Prashant Jagtap, local corporator Prabhag 25 Wanowrie Ramtekdi and Ex Mayor Pune city said, “I had visited Sassoon hospital last week. During my visit I was informed that 400 beds facility is being created to accommodate Covid 19 patients, for which 350 nurses shall be appointed soon. But, arranging food for these nurses for three times a day was becoming a major hurdle due to lack of funds. In my visit to the hospital, Dr Ajay Taware, superintendent, Sassoon hospital accompanied me and took me around the place where the facility is being created. With this help by the members, now the burden of managing three meals everyday for two to three months is taken care of. I am thankful to my friends who came forward and generously donated funds.”

Jagtap handed over the cheque to deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, Dr Murlidhar Tambe and others.
