RTO announces new fares for AC cabs in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Â

Pune Cab Fare Controversy: Drivers And Passengers Bear The Brunt Of Unchecked SurchargesÂ
The Regional Transport Office (RTO) Pune revised fares of cool cab & air-conditioned taxis in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Baramati.
As per further information from RTO Pune, a joint meeting of Regional Transport Office Pune (Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Baramati) was held on 22nd December 2023 under the chairmanship of Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh. It was in connection with the fare revision of Cool Cabs / air-conditioned taxis in the jurisdiction of Regional Transport Authority, Pune.
According to the black-yellow taxi fare fixing formula approved by the government through the government decision dated 9.3.2020 to the report of Khatua Committee, the fare rates of the black-yellow taxi are fixed by Regional Transport Authority Pune in the meeting dated 17.4.2023.

For the first 1.5 km | Rs 31 |
For every 1 km after the first 1.5 km | Rs 21 |
As per the recommendation of Khatua Committee, for the Cool Cabs Air-Conditioned Taxis, a fare hike of 20 percent is recommended.
According to the said provision, the fares for Cool Cabs air-conditioned taxis are fixed as follows:

The RTO Pune has decided to implement the above fare revision from 1.1.2024.
