Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to formally inaugurate the Pune Metro Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi Stretch Metro today at approximately 10:30 AM.

In total, there are 16 stops along the 15-kilometre Vanaz to Ramwadi route. Other than Yerwada Metro Station, the work on which is still ongoing. Under construction, all other Metro routes will be accessible to travellers from today onwards. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has requested Yerwada Metro Station to relocate the staircase of the station to the entrance, leading to a delay.

Shravan Hardikar, managing director of Maha Metro, said on Tuesday, “The Pune Metro’s extended route from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi will be inaugurated on Wednesday, March 6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Metro on this route at 10:00 AM through the video call conferencing system.”
The officials of Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) have stated that following the inauguration, the Metro on the inaugurated route will be accessible for the public from 12:30 PM onwards. The commuters may now travel easily for Rs. 30 from Ramwadi to Kothrud and Rs. 35 from Ramwadi to Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

Following the inauguration, the Pune Metro will be connected from Kothrud to Yerwada-Vimannagar and will therefore effectively increase the length of the entire route from 24 kilometres to 30 kilometres. However, the underground stretch from Civil Court to Swargate, which stretches 3 kilometres, will be ready in the next three months.
