Sandalwood tree stolen from Mohamadwadi area; Wanowrie police register FIR

Pune: A tree stump of a sandalwood tree was stolen in Ghulam Ali Nagar, Mohammadwadi Road, Hadapsar on August 24.
As per information from VV Jagtap, Wanowrie Police Officer, on August 24, 2023, an unidentified man stole a sandalwood tree stump worth Rs 95,000 with the help of a vigorous tool between 3:00 am to 4:00 am, from an open space adjacent to the plaintiff’s house at Galli no 1, Ghulam Ali Nagar, Mohammadwadi Road, Hadapsar, Pune
As soon as the victim, identified as Asif Sayyed, realized this theft, he immediately went to the Wanowrie police station and registered an FIR.
Acting swiftly upon receiving the complaint, the Wanowrie Police have registered a case under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police are further investigating the case.
