Kejriwal remarked that the detention of AAP leader Sanjay Singh is a consequence of the BJP’s frustration with the opposition INDIA alliance. Today, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) plans to stage a protest outside the BJP headquarters in New Delhi in response to Sanjay Singh’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over alleged involvement in a liquor scam. Sanjay Singh was apprehended following searches at his residence in Delhi and lengthy questioning related to a money laundering case associated with Delhi’s excise policy.

This arrest has sparked a significant political controversy, with Delhi’s chief minister and AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kejriwal expressed his views, stating, “This demonstrates Modi ji’s anxiety. They will detain numerous more opposition leaders prior to the elections.”

Later in the evening, after visiting Singh’s residence, Kejriwal emphasized that the AAP is a party committed to integrity, asserting, “They have arrested Sanjay Singh, a powerful advocate against Modi ji’s corruption. He is completely steeped in corruption from top to bottom. I believe he is the most corrupt prime minister in the history of independent India.

” The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded to AAP’s allegations by contending that the arrest was part of their efforts to build a “Bhrashtachaar Mukt Bharat” (corruption-free India).
