Sanya Malhotra’s upcoming film “Mrs” is set to premiere on Zee5 on February 7. This movie is a Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam film “The Great Indian Kitchen.” Alongside Sanya, the cast features Kanwaljit Singh and Nishant Dahiya.
In this film, Sanya plays the lead role of Richa, a young bride who aspires to become a dancer. However, after her marriage, she finds herself overwhelmed by the demands of household responsibilities, which overshadow her dreams due to the expectations imposed by her traditional family. “Mrs” delves into the challenges women face as they confront societal norms, gender inequality, and their own aspirations.
The film is produced by Jio Studios in collaboration with Baweja Studios and directed by Arati Kadav. It aims to shed light on the silent struggles women endure within patriarchal structures, while also portraying a powerful narrative of resilience and self-discovery. Following “Mrs,” Sanya will also star in “Thug Life” and a project directed by Anurag Kashyap, further showcasing her versatility as an actress.
