Second Extension Announced for CET Applications; Deadline for Five Courses Extended Until February 10
Second Extension Announced for CET Applications; Deadline for Five Courses Extended Until February 10
Mumbai: To ensure more students can enroll in professional courses without last-minute hassles, the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) had initiated the online registration process in the last week of December. However, due to a low response from students for the MBA/MMS, MCA, B-HMCT/M-HMCT Integrated, B-Design, and M-HMCT courses, the CET Cell has decided to extend the registration deadline for these courses for the second time. As per the new deadline, students can now apply until February 10, as confirmed by the State CET Cell.

The registration process for MBA/MMS and MCA courses began on December 25. Similarly, registration for B-HMCT/M-HMCT Integrated courses started on December 31, while applications for B-Design and M-HMCT courses opened on January 4. Students were initially given a month to register for these courses. However, the response during this period was minimal. For MBA/MMS, 44,630 students registered, while only 690 students applied for the B-HMCT/M-HMCT Integrated courses. The B-Design course received 323 applications, and the M-HMCT course had just 36 confirmed registrations after fee payment.
Considering the low turnout, the CET Cell had previously extended the application deadline until January 31. Despite this extension, many students still refrained from applying. To provide more opportunities for students who were unable to register earlier and to ensure that no student misses out on admission, the CET Cell has now granted a second extension for the five courses: MBA/MMS, MCA, B-HMCT/M-HMCT Integrated, B-Design, and M-HMCT. Students can now submit their applications until February 10, as per the announcement from the CET Cell.
