Veteran Nationalist Congress Party (SP) leader and four-time Maharashtra Chief Minister Sharad Pawar has been admitted once again to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after a deterioration in his health condition.

Recent Health History

Last week, Sharad Pawar was admitted to the same hospital after complaining of breathing difficulties and continuous coughing. Medical examinations revealed a chest infection, following which he was kept under medical supervision for several days. He was discharged and brought back to his residence last Saturday, with doctors advising him to take complete rest for three to four days.

At the time of discharge, Supriya Sule had posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating that Pawar would rest at home and resume his routine work after recovery. She also thanked the doctors, nurses, and medical staff of Ruby Hall Clinic for their care and support.

Official Medical Statement

In an official statement, Dr. Purvez Grant, Chief Cardiologist, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, said:

“Hon. Mr. Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic today for mild dehydration. He requires fluids. His condition is stable. He will remain in the hospital for two days and will then be discharged.”

The statement was jointly issued by Dr. Purvez Grant and Dr. Abhijit Lodha, Consultant Physician at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune.

Current Health Status

Doctors have confirmed that Sharad Pawar’s condition is stable, and he is under continuous medical observation. He is expected to be discharged after two days, subject to improvement in his health condition.
