In a startling revelation that has rocked a community, a 34-year-old man from Sarkhej recently discovered that his wife, who was believed to be 32 at the time of their marriage, is actually over 40 years old. The revelation came after a year of struggling with infertility, prompting the couple to seek medical advice. The sonography data presented by the physician clarified the true age of the wife, shedding light on why the couple had been unable to conceive naturally.
The man, who was left bewildered and disillusioned, has since taken drastic measures.
Outraged by the deception, he filed a First Information Report (FIR) against eight individuals, including his wife, her father, and other family members. The FIR includes several IPC sections covering criminal conspiracy, intimidation, cheating, forgery, and breach of trust.
The troubled husband recounted his ordeal, revealing that he first met his wife in May 2023.
Despite numerous requests for documentation regarding her age and education, her family only provided passport and school leaving certificate copies on the wedding day. The marriage register listed May 18, 1991, as her birthdate, suggesting she was 18 months younger than him.
The couple’s marriage was arranged for June 19, 2023, in a village in Palanpur.
Further complicating the situation, the man explained that his wife had not shared crucial medical reports with him. “Without informing me or anyone else at home, my wife and my sister-in-law went to a doctor. However, she did not share the report with me,” he stated. To add to the drama, the man recorded a two-hour video where he confronted his wife’s family. The video allegedly captured them admitting to the deceit and issuing an apology.
