Himachal Pradesh: A tragic incident has been reported from Himachal Pradesh, where a 28-year-old man lost his life after a piece of Kurkure allegedly became lodged in his airway, causing severe breathing difficulties.

The incident took place in Tal village under the Ghanghughat Gram Panchayat area of Arki subdivision. According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Hemant Sharma, who worked at a private hotel in Kasauli.

On the day of the incident, Hemant was at home eating Kurkure when a piece reportedly got stuck in his windpipe. He immediately began experiencing breathing problems, prompting his family members to rush him to a nearby hospital.

After providing initial treatment, doctors referred him to PGI Chandigarh due to the seriousness of his condition. Medical staff at PGI started emergency treatment, but his health continued to deteriorate. Despite their efforts, Hemant passed away during treatment.

His untimely death has left his family devastated and cast a pall of gloom over his village. Family members said Hemant was the sole breadwinner of the household and played a crucial role in supporting his parents financially.

Following the incident, doctors have urged people to exercise caution while eating snacks and to seek immediate medical attention if choking or breathing difficulties occur.
