Shocking !!! Hyderabad family finds lizard in biryani

Pune: A dining experience that could send shivers down one’s spine at the mere thought of their meal was recently encountered by a family in Hyderabad.

An unforeseen and unpleasant surprise accompanied the chicken biryani they had requested from ‘Bawarchi Biryani’ through Zomato, situated at RTC Crossroads—a lifeless lizard.

The disconcerting event transpired when a self-gratifying indulgence transformed into a matter of apprehension as an online-purchased chicken biryani revealed a lifeless lizard. The footage capturing this meal quickly spread across social media, leaving spectators astounded.

The footage captures a plate brimming with rice while a motionless black lizard rests upon it, as shown in the viral video. Additionally, the packaging of ‘Bawarchias’ was recorded and shared alongside the aforementioned footage.

It is worth mentioning that the restaurant has previously encountered a similar allegation. In May 2022, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials carried out an inspection at the Bawarchi restaurant in response to a complaint made by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporator. The corporator alleged that a lizard was discovered in the biryani that was ordered from the establishment.

The eatery experienced the family’s discontentment when they expressed their grievances and staged a protest at its entrance. As per local media reports, this demonstration significantly impacted the restaurant’s functioning due to the widespread news of the lizard incident in the biryani.
