Shocking News : Mumbai drug addict couple sold children for Rs 74,000 to buy drugs  

The Mumbai Crime Branch on Friday rescued a one-month-old baby girl from Andheri and arrested three people, including a couple suspected of selling their kids to raise money for drug purchases. There is an ongoing search for the second two-year-old son.

A police official from Mumbai Crime Branch stated that in Andheri, a drug-addicted couple sold their own two kids to make ends meet. The incident was revealed to the couple’s family as soon as they heard about it. 

A case has been filed by the police against the two accused parties as well as another. The boy was sold for Rs 60 Thousand and the girl, who was one month old, was sold for Rs 14 thousand by the accused couple.

As per further information, the Mumbai Crime Branch official further added that they were dependent on drugs, and they encountered a person, the accused woman, at the same time. 

For Rs 60,000, the couple sold their son to an individual. It is unknown who was the buyer of the children when they were sold. The pair also welcomed a daughter recently. They paid Rs 14,000 last month for the girl, which they sold to the accused woman.

The accused father’s sister was taken aback upon learning of the incident. She became enraged with her brother and went straight to the police station to report the incident. She went to the police station and lodged a complaint against the brother and sister-in-law. The police station handed the case to the crime branch.
