PUNE: A distressing incident unfolded on Monday as a 60-year-old individual, identified as Vishnu Hanuman Hanamayya Handriki, lost his life on the Katraj-Kondhwa Road due to a collision with a vehicle. The unfortunate accident occurred while Handriki was walking along the road, specifically between Pisoli and Khadi Machine roads. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene.
This road serves as a vital bypass route, heavily frequented by vehicles seeking connectivity to the Pune-Bengaluru Highway near Narhe. Notably, a significant accident transpired here just last week, leading to one fatality and seven injuries. The accident involved a truck carrying cement pipes, which collided with multiple vehicles, including a school bus.
