Sixth Installment of ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’: How Much Money Will Be Credited? Aditi Tatkare Clarifies
There was a discussion about verifying applications from beneficiaries under the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ scheme led by the Chief Minister. Aditi Tatkare, the former Minister of Women and Child Development of Maharashtra, stated that the criteria for the scheme will remain unchanged and no decision has been made about the application verification process.
She mentioned that women will receive the sixth installment of 1500 rupees. There has been some confusion regarding a payment of 2100 rupees. For now, 1500 rupees will be deposited into women’s accounts until the final budget for Maharashtra is prepared. The remaining 2100 rupees will be deposited once the budget is finalized, so women will have to wait a bit longer.
A very significant update has emerged regarding the sixth installment of the Ladki Bahin scheme before it is released. This news may heighten concerns for the cherished sisters involved. It has been announced that there will be a re-evaluation of the applications submitted by these sisters. Many women’s applications could be denied during this process. Those whose applications are rejected will not receive any benefits from the Ladki Bahin scheme, as applications from women who do not fulfill the necessary criteria will now be turned down.
If an application is rejected, eligible women for the Laadki Bahin scheme will miss out on their payments. Women who possess any of the following six items will not receive payments from the scheme. Specifically, households with a four-wheeler vehicle will be ineligible for benefits under this scheme, although tractors are not counted as four-wheeler vehicles. Additionally, women whose family’s total annual income exceeds two and a half lakh will also be disqualified from receiving payments from the Ladki Bahin scheme.
