The former Captain of the Indian team and former Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Sourav Ganguly’s phone was stolen from his house in Kolkata.

The phone was worth Rs.1.6 Lakhs. It contained access to valuable information and bank account details. It is also linked to his bank account. A complaint has been filed at Thakurpur Police Station.

“I believe my phone was stolen from home. I saw the phone for the last time around 11:30 AM. I tried to find the phone but couldn’t find it. Deeply concerned about losing my phone. Because that phone has multiple contact numbers and access to personal information and accounts. I am requesting to trace the phone or take action,” requested Ganguly to the police by writing an application.

Painting work was going on amidst his phone getting stolen. This made Ganguly’s Grandfather suspicious of the workers who were painting. Soon the workers will be investigated by the Police for the same.

The Police have started investigating the matter to find the phone as soon as possible so that no information gets leaked or misused.

Sourav Ganguly has often been seen on political platforms several times with the Union Home Minister and Senior BJP leader Amit Shah and West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Leader Mamata Banerjee.

Recently in the Bengal Global Business SUMMIT, 2023, Sourav Ganguly was announced as the Brand Ambassador of West Bengal.
