Special Rajdhani Express to run on Delhi-Patna Route

In preparation for the upcoming festive season, the Ministry of Railways has arranged for the operation of a Special Rajdhani Express. 

This new superfast train will provide a convenient mode of transportation for passengers traveling between New Delhi and Patna Junction. 

Covering a distance of 1000 km in just 12 hours and 20 minutes, it will be the third superfast train to run between these two destinations. The introduction of this train follows the earlier launch of the Special Vande Bharat Express, which also operates between the same cities.

The Reserved Rajdhani Special Train with the number 02250/02249, traveling from New Delhi to Patna Jn and back, will make a total of five stops at railway stations including Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, DD Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara Junction station. The train will operate for four days this month, departing from the national capital on November 10, 13, 15, and 17, and from Patna Junction on November 11, 14, 16, and 18.

The Rajdhani Special train with reservation number 02250 will depart from New Delhi at 19:10 hrs and arrive in Bihar’s capital at 07:30 hrs the following day. Conversely, the reserved Rajdhani special train with number 02249 will leave Patna Jn at 09:00 hrs and reach New Delhi at 21:00 hrs on the same day. The New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Special Rajdhani Express offers three passenger accommodation classes: AC 3 Tier, AC 2 Tier, and AC First Class, with fares of Rs 2830, Rs 3790, and Rs 4360, respectively.
