Speeding Police Car Hits 4 People in Satara; One Dead, 3 Seriously Injured

A terrible accident has taken place on Karad-Dhebewadi road in Satara district. A speeding police car hit 4 people standing on the side of the road. A youth died on the spot in this incident while 3 others are seriously injured.

As per further information, the injured have been admitted to the hospital for immediate treatment. On getting information about the incident, police along with the locals rushed to the spot. After this incident, the villagers became aggressive. Meanwhile, villagers are also alleging that the police driver who was driving the car was drunk.

On the Karad-Dhebewadi route, around 11:30 pm on Sunday (22nd October) night, 4 young men were standing on the side of the road and chatting. At the same time, a speeding police car which was going from Kolewadi to Dhebewadi hit these youths hard. The collision was so severe that one died on the spot while three others were seriously injured.

The deceased youth is from Kolewadi and the injured youth is from Kusur. A lot of anger is being expressed in the area due to this incident. In this case, till late at night, the work of getting information about the incident started from the police.
