SSC class 10th results: Girls outperform boys again!

Results were declared at 1 pm today via the official website of Maharashtra State Board Of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. While Konkan achieved the highest pass rate at 99%, while Nagpur had the lowest at 94.73%.

The results of the Class X examination that was held in March 2024 have been released by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Further Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). With a 1.98% gain from the previous year, the state recorded a pass percentage of 95.81%. Like previous times, girls fared better than guys once more. Among the divisions, Konkan achieved the highest pass rate at 99%, while Nagpur had the lowest at 94.73%.

Nine divisional boards, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan, hosted the Class 10 examination from March 1 to March 26, 2024. For the test, almost 1.6 lakh students enrolled. 

This year, the results for Class 10 are released in May for the first time. Results were usually announced during the first week of June or July. The early announcement is due to students being required to submit their internal assessment marks online.

The results were presented at a press conference by State Board President Sharad Gosavi, Secretary Anuradha Oak, and Joint Secretary Manik Bangar.

The results are as follows:

  • Girls: 97.21%
  • Boys: 94.56%  

 (Girls outperformed boys by 2.65%.)
