St. Mira’s College for Girls to hold a stage play – ‘Hidden Fires’ for the youth

Pune, October 19: On the occasion of celebration of 60 glorious years of St. Mira’s College for Girls, Pune, the theatre ensemble of the college will be performing a renowned play ‘Hidden Fires’ by the eminent playwright, Manjula Padmanabhan on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, 2022 at St Mira’s College Auditorium, Koregaon Park. On Thursday, the show will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, and is open to junior colleges only. The show will be free for all junior college students.

On Friday, the gates will open at 6.30 PM and the play will start from 7 PM onwards with the ticket price of Rs. 250. This show will be open to everyone.

Held under the supervision of guest lecturer, Hartman de Souza, the play wishes to spread awareness about the need for an inclusive environment and is a platform for passionate, fiery, young women to share their concerns and beliefs on stage, reaching out and connecting to other young people to build a peaceful and compassionate future.

The play is a part of the theatre course conducted by the college, which has a tradition of staging plays annually and now aspires to do so biannually.
