Start construction of Shivajinagar – Hinjewadi Metro in the next 8 days of face agitation
A delegation from Bharatiya Janata Party Pune including Member of Parliament Girish Bapat, MLA Siddharth Shirole, Deputy Mayor Sunita Wadekar, local Corporators of Shivaji Nagar, Aundh, Baner met the Chief Executive officer of Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority Suhas Divase and requested him to expedite the work of Hinjawadi Shivaji Nagar metro work.

Shirole said, “The delay in Shivajinagar – Hinjewadi Metro is not only leading to increase in expenditure of the project, but also causing major traffic jams and chaos in the entire corridor, especially the #Pune University Junction. Any further delay will only escalate the timelines. In our formal statement we have urged the officials at PMRDA to immediately begin work, especially on the 98% of land that is been acquired, and expedite the process of acquisition for rest 2%. The immense inconvenience caused to the citizens will no longer be tolerated by the BJP.”
Girish Bapat, Member of Parliament also warned that if the work on this route doesn’t expedite the Pune citizens will hold an agitation. Bapat also discussed other issues related to metro work with the officials of PMRDA.
