Pune : The Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) mobile app is an official Android/iOS app which can be used to purchase train tickets online. Daily train passengers can book tickets using the UTS app.
Some Features:
· The UTS app enables passengers to purchase tickets within a 20-kilometer radius of non-suburban stations and a 10-kilometer radius of sub-urban stations.
· People with smartphones with Android, iOS, and Windows operating system versions can download the app free of charge. The UTS app is user-friendly and consists of various key features such as multi-language support, cashless transactions, and a help tab that provides different kinds of customer support.
· Passengers can pay through different digital modes such as R-Wallet, UPIs, or internet banking.
· The passengers can book 5 types of train tickets through this app which is: Normal ticket booking, quick ticket booking, platform ticket booking, seasonal ticket booking/renewal, and QR booking.
Advantages :
· Paperless booking is an amazing feature because, in the past, daily commuters had to wait in a long line to book and print their walk-in tickets. This app was created with the primary user’s difficulties in mind, eliminating the need for users to wait in line to purchase tickets and simplifying their travel experience with paperless booking.
· The burden of having to purchase travel tickets every day is removed with the seasonal booking option. They can be bought for fixed periods, including half-yearly, quarterly, monthly, and annual.
· The default class, ticket type, train type, and passenger count are shown along with the frequently traveled route that was specified at the time of registration.
· A traveller can easily cancel either their season or normal/quick ticket. One ticket may be chosen by the traveller for cancellation. If the cancellation request satisfies the cancellation rule, the ticket will be cancelled, and if applicable, a refund will be issued.
