New Delhi, July 10, 2025: Strong tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR on Thursday morning, causing panic among residents who rushed out of homes and offices. The earthquake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, struck at 9:04 AM with its epicentre in Rohtak, Haryana, according to initial reports.
The tremors lasted for nearly 10 seconds and were felt in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad. While no damage or casualties have been reported so far, the sudden jolt left people alarmed across the region.
Experts explained that earthquakes occur due to movements of tectonic plates beneath the Earth’s surface. The magnitude of 4.1 indicates a mild to moderate quake, which generally does not cause severe damage but can be widely felt.
