Sukoon – Ninad Daithankar’s Santoor performance programme to be held on April 23
April 17, 2023: Music-loving Punekars have a chance to hear different genres of music on Santoor during a special program titled ‘Sukoon’ by Ninad Daithankar, which is presented by Infinite Variables.
The program will take place at The Base in Erandwane, which is in Rescon company premises, off Karve Road, on April 23 at 6 PM. Entry to the program is free, but pre-registration is mandatory.
Sharing more details, Ninad Daithankar said, “Classical music and Fusion music is played on Santoor, but this program is an effort to play different genres on Santoor. I will be playing some classical melodies, folk tunes, evergreen old and new film songs, jazz, Fusion on Santoor in the program. This will also include a presentation of a few compositions, which I have made.”
Ninad Daithankar, son and disciple of well-known Santoor player Dr Dhananjay Daithakar, is a promising Santoor player. He is a recipient of City-NCPA scholarship and has performed in many noted programmes in India and globally.
