Pune, November 13, 2024: During the Assembly General Elections, action was taken on 62 complaints of Model Code of Conduct violations in the Pune Cantonment constituency, as per information shared by Election Officer Siddharth Bhandare. These complaints were registered via the district-level ‘C-Vigil’ cell, operational since October 15.
The Election Commission’s ‘C-Vigil’ app, designed for citizens to report and track Model Code of Conduct violations, has seen substantial public engagement. Citizens can submit complaints, including photos and videos, through the app, while maintaining anonymity if desired. Every complaint has been addressed within a 100-minute timeframe.
According to Bhandare, this app enables prompt reporting of code violations and ensures complaints are addressed swiftly, with actions taken within 100 minutes.
