Pune Vidhan Sabha Polls 2024: Postal Voting Process Begins For Election Duty Officials In Chinchwad Constituency
Pune, November 13: For officials and employees on election duty and essential services, the postal voting process, which began on November 12 at Swargiya Shankar (Anna) Gawde Kamgar Bhavan in Thergaon, will now continue until November 19. The process will take place daily from 9:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the ‘G’ Regional Office of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in Thergaon, as informed by Election Officer Anil Pawar.
Under the supervision of the Chinchwad constituency’s Election Office, postal voting is underway, with around 855 officials, employees, teachers, police, and essential service workers having already cast their votes. Postal voting has been arranged for voters from 110 Assembly constituencies across 25 districts, with a total of 1,843 ballot papers received to date.
The postal voting process is being managed under the guidance of Election Officer Anil Pawar, with Assistant Election Officers Amol Kadam, Asha Holkar, Kishor Nanavare, and Postal Voting Coordination Officer Amit Pandit overseeing the process.
Election Officer Pawar noted that postal voting is provided for officials and employees appointed to election duties and essential services, as they are unable to visit polling stations on Election Day due to their work commitments.
