Pune: In commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti, Team Swacch Kalyani Nagar (TSKN) organized a traffic drive this year, alongside fifty students and two teachers from Erin.N.Nagarvala boarding school.
As per the information provided, the focus of the drive was on promoting clean air and safe roads. The entire event was meticulously organized by Jaffar Iqbal, one of the trustees, with careful consideration given to every aspect of the drive. Two traffic wardens were present to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of the children.
Participants included staff of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), PMC Sanitary Inspector Raut, active resident Dhairyashil Vandekar, Devendra Jani, and Vaz, who encouraged and walked alongside the children. The enthusiastic children held placards and raised slogans highlighting the importance of footpaths, wearing helmets, and the hazards of driving on the wrong side of the road.
Their efforts were appreciated by many residents. Later, during the conclusion of the event, some civic-related songs were played followed by the National Anthem.
