A recent post by an IIT graduate expressing gratitude for his tech career, which enabled him to purchase his dream home, went viral and elicited a variety of responses online.

An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, Animesh Chouhan, took to ‘X’ to express his appreciation for Python, the widely-used programming language, which he believes has been instrumental in his achievements. He attributed his success as a software engineer in the finance sector to Python, stating that it helped him turn his dream of owning a home into a reality.

Chouhan shared a photo on social media platform X showcasing the impressive three-storey building in his hometown, which came to fruition partly because of his work as a software engineer for an international bank.

The post rapidly attracted attention, amassing more than 1.3 million views, thousands of likes, and hundreds of comments in a brief timeframe.

He expressed his gratitude for Python by sharing a photo of his home on X, acknowledging the programming language.

The post sparked a wave of responses on social media. Numerous users extended their congratulations to Chouhan, with one commenting, “That’s a beautiful home. Share more pictures if you can!.” “Say thank you to your father or grandfather for making this possible,” says another user.

Chouhan explained in the comments that the house was constructed in phases. “Just found out there’s a whole army of people standing up for me. Thank you so much, everyone! That said, these opinions don’t really matter to me. What truly matters is that my family and I love our home, and we’re happy here,” said Chouhan.
