Tenders worth Rs 108.16 crores for approved DP road sanctioned

Eight Development Plan Road (DP) in Kharadi have been given a nod under the Development Credit Note in exchange for the public private participation (PPP) model. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) standing committee has approved a tender worth of Rs 108.16 crores for the development of roads.

On Friday, February 25, 2022 the standing committee chairman of Pune Municipal Corporation Hemant Rasane had organised a press conference where he shared the details. He said, “The roads in the city’s development plan are developing in phases. Every year according to the space occupancy and the available provision in such crises situations one need to act and execute. The cost required for developing such roads, relatively witnessed in less available, the ground realities are tough at many occasions.” 

He further said, “It was proposed to develop roads through the PPP model. Under this, it was proposed to give the road space to the builder as FSI or the contractor in the form of a credit note. This credit note can be used under the building permit fee under the Pune Municipal Corporation. The credit note is transferable. This year, a total of 11 roads and two bridges are being constructed in PPP. The issue of developing roads and bridges in exchange for credit notes under the PPP was approved by the General Assembly last year. The PPP proposal allows roads and bridges to be developed in exchange for credit notes without direct investment to the municipality. FSI, TDR and reservation credit bonds are used for land acquisition.”

Approval of bridge Mundhwa-Kharadi river

Chairman Rasne informed that the Standing Committee has approved to develop a 24-meter-long bridge over Mula-Mutha river at Mundhwa, Kharadi through PPP in the exchange for development credit note.

Hadapsar DP road sanctioned 

The 12 meters Hadapsar DP road has been sanctioned Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojana scheme (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme) for which tender of Rs. 84.74 lakh has been sanctioned, stated Rasne.
