In a disturbing incident in Titwala, a passenger, died of a heart attack after being physically assaulted by an auto-rickshaw driver over a dispute concerning a torn ₹50 note. The driver, Raja Bhoir, has been arrested by the Kalyan taluka police and charged with negligence causing death.

The incident occurred on Thursday night when Shahi, who worked for a private company in Mumbai and resided with his family in Titwala, hailed an auto-rickshaw from the station to his home. After presenting a torn ₹50 note, Bhoir refused to accept it, leading to a heated argument and a physical altercation. During the scuffle, Bhoir assaulted Shahi, causing him to suffer a heart attack and collapse on the road.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Shahi was declared dead on arrival. This incident has reignited concerns about the misconduct of auto-rickshaw drivers in the Mumbai region.
