The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond Heads to OTT After Theatrical Run, Premieres May 8
The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond is set for its digital premiere after completing its theatrical run. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film will stream on ZEE5 from May 8, 2026, in Hindi along with Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Sharing details about the OTT release, Kaveri Das, Business Head – Hindi ZEE5 and Chief Channel Officer at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, said the platform remains committed to bringing strong and meaningful stories to audiences through diverse perspectives and distinctive storytelling.
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond follows the lives of three young women from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala, whose seemingly separate journeys become linked through experiences of trust, emotional manipulation and loss of agency. The film stars Aditi Bhatia, Ulka Gupta and Aishwarya Ojha in pivotal roles, with co-production by Aashin A Shah and Ravichand Nallappa.
Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh said the film is rooted in human emotions and explores how individuals, especially young women, can be drawn into situations they never imagined, adding that the story has been told with sensitivity and honesty.
Speaking about the project, Aditi Bhatia called the film an intense and eye-opening experience, saying her character’s emotional journey challenged her as an actor. Ulka Gupta described playing Surekha as one of the most demanding roles of her career, highlighting the character’s resilience and inner conflict. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Ojha said portraying Neha revealed how external pressures and emotional manipulation can shape lives in unseen ways.
Co-written by Amarnath Jha and Vipul Amrutlal Shah, The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond will begin streaming on ZEE5 on May 8.
