Traffic changes announced in Pimpri Chinchwad ahead of Maratha Reservation Morcha; Check details

The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police have issued traffic changes in several areas of Pimpri Chinchwad due to the Maratha Reservation Morcha led by Manoj Jarange Patil.

As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, the said march of Maratha Reservation Morcha will go towards Mumbai side via Rajiv Gandhi Bridge – Jagtap Dairy – Dange Chowk – Birla Hospital Chafekar Chowk – Ahimsa Chowk Mahavir Chowk – Khandobamal Chowk – Tilak Chowk – Bhakti Shakti – Puna Gate – Dehu Road – Talegaon.

Hence, on 24/1/2024 from 6.00 am, the traffic under Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate is being changed as follows:

Sangavi Traffic Department

·         Entry of all types of vehicles from Aundh D Mart to Sangvi Phata is banned and vehicles on the said route will take a left from Pol Chowk to the desired destination via Nagraj Road.

·         All types of vehicles coming from Pimple Nilakh will take Jagtap Chowk – Kaspate Chowk route via Vishalnagar DP Road instead of going towards Rakshak Chowk.

·         In the intersection below Jagtap Dairy Bridge, all types of vehicles coming from Kaspate Chowk will go directly to the desired destination from Shivar Chowk – Kokane Chowk through the grade separator instead of coming to Aundh-Ravet Road on the left and right sides.

·         The traffic coming from Shivaar Chowk will not take right and left turn to Aundh-Ravet Road, they will go directly through the grade separator from Kaspate Chowk to the desired destination.

·         Entry of all types of vehicles coming from Tapkir Chowk, MM Chowk to Kalewadi Phata Bridge is prohibited and the vehicles on the said route will go from Rahatani Phata Chowk to the desired destination via Rahatani Gaon, Godambe Chowk.

·         All types of vehicles coming from Sangavi village to Sangvi Phata will go to their desired destination via Shitole Pump, Old Sangvi and Vasantdada Putala Chowk, Old Sangvi, Dapodi.

Wakad Traffic Department

·         Vehicles coming from Tathwade Gaon Chowk towards Dange Chowk take a right turn at Tathwade Chowk to Tathwade Underpass or will go to the desired destination via hanging bridge.

·         Vehicles going from Kalakhadak to Dange Chowk will take a U-turn from Kalakhadak and proceed to the destination via Bhumkar Chowk.

·         Vehicles coming towards Dange Chowk via Wakad Datta Mandir Road will take a right or left turn from Annabhau Sathe Chowk to the desired destination.

·         Vehicles coming towards Kalewadi Phata from Chhatrapati Chowk, Kaspate Vasti will take a left turn from Chhatrapati Chowk and proceed to the desired destination.

·         The traffic coming from Barne Corner, Thergaon towards Thergaon Phata will take a right turn to the desired destination or take a U-turn to Tapkir Chowk.

·         All types of vehicles coming from Thergaon towards Birla Hospital Chowk will be closed and the said vehicles will go to their destination from Raghavendra Maharaj Math or go to their desired destination via Barne Corner, Thergaon.

·         All types of vehicles coming from Kaverinagar Police Colony are prohibited from going to Kaverinagar underpass and the said vehicles will go from the corner opposite Wakad Bhaji Mandai to the left on the road towards Wakad Police Station to the desired destination via Datta Mandir Road.

Chinchwad Traffic Department

·         The road leading from Dalvinagar Chowk to Khandobamaal and Chinchwad station is being closed for all vehicles and the vehicles on the said route will be diverted via Bijlinagar Chowk route.

·         All types of vehicles coming from River View Chowk to Dange Chowk and from Dange Chowk to Mahaveer Chowk are closed and the vehicles on the said route will go to the desired destination via Chinchwad Farm Road. Also, the vehicles going towards Bhosari will go to the desired destination via Bijlinagar Walhekarwadi.

·         Vehicles going towards Chinchwad Nagar T Junction from River View will go straight to their destination via Ravet.

·         The road leading from the road opposite Lokmanya Hospital Chowk, Chinchwad to Mahavir Chowk Chinchwad is being closed for all vehicles and the vehicles on the said road will turn left from Lokmanya Hospital Chowk and go to the desired destination via Dalvinagar.

·         Access to all types of vehicles is being blocked from SKF Chowk Chinchwad route to Khandoba Mal Chowk and the vehicles on the said route will go to the desired destination via Bijlinagar Chowk route.

·         Vehicles coming from Link Road Pimpri will go to their destination via Morya Hospital Chowk, Keshavnagar instead of Chaphekar Chowk.

·         The entry of vehicles coming to Mahavir Chowk and Shivaji Chowk is closed and the vehicles on the said route will go to their destination via Mohnagar Chowk.

·         All types of vehicles coming from Bijlinagar Chowk to Triveni Hospital Chowk to River View Chowk. The entry is being closed and the traffic on the said route will go to the desired destination via Ravet.

·         Traffic coming from Mukai Chowk to Chinchwad take a left turn at Triveni Hospital Valhekarwadi and proceed via Parshwanath Chowk, Bhel Chowk, then take a left turn at Kachghar Chowk and take a U-turn, take a U-turn at Bhakti Shakti Chowk and proceed to the desired destination via Ankush Chowk, Triveninagar.

Pimpri Traffic Department

·         The traffic coming from Niramay Hospital towards Mahaveer Chowk will not go straight and right, it will turn left and go to the desired destination via Morwadi Chowk.

·         All types of vehicles will be closed from Parashuram Chowk to Khandobamal Chowk and the said traffic will go through RD Aga, Thermax Chowk to the desired destination.

·         All types of vehicles coming from KSB Chowk to Mahaveer Chowk and Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk will be closed and the vehicles on the said route will take a left turn from Basaveshwar Chowk and go to the desired destination via Auto Clutter.

Nigdi Traffic Department

·         The traffic coming from Thermax Chowk is RD Aga Marg to Garware Company compound and from T junction there, instead of going to Khandobamal Chowk, they will go to the desired destination from Parashuram Chowk via Mohannagar Chinchwad from the left.

·         Traffic coming from Dalvinagar Pul and Akurdi Gaothan will go to their destination via Ganesh Vision and Akurdi Gaothan instead of Khandobamal Chowk.

·         Traffic coming from Durga Chowk will be diverted to Thermax Chowk or via Yamunanagar instead of Tilak Chowk.

·         Traffic coming from Bhel Chowk will go to the desired destination via Saawli Hotel instead of Tilak Chowk.

·         Traffic coming from Appughar/Ravet and traffic coming from Transport Nagar will proceed to their destination via Ankush Chowk, Triveninagar via subway (underpass) under Bhakti Shakti Circle instead of crossing Bhakti Shakti Bridge.

·         Traffic going from Bhakti Shakti to Dehu Road from Triveninagar Ankush Chowk will go directly to Dehu Road Mumbai via Appughar Ravet via Bhakti Shakti Circle underpass.

·         Traffic coming from Dehu Road will be diverted from Bhakti Shakti Circle to Triveninagar Chowk. Or from Bhakti Shakti Flyover in front of Poonagate Hotel straight through the grade separator to the desired destination.

·         Devotees will divert Mumbai-bound traffic from Bhakti Shakti to the desired destination via Hanging Bridge.

Bhosari Traffic Department

·         Vehicles going to Bhakti Shakti Chowk from Pune, Khadki, Dapodi, Phugewadi side will proceed to their destination via Moshi Chowk or Kaspate Chowk from Nashik junction instead of going to Bhakti Shakti Chowk.

·         Vehicles going from Chakan, Moshi, Alandi side via Nashik Phata to Mumbai side will proceed to the desired destination via Spine Road via Panjarpol Junction, Triveninagar, Bhakti Shakti Underpass via Ravet or Nashik Phata, Kaspate Chowk via Wakad Naka.

Dehu Road Traffic Department

·         Traffic coming from Talawade to Dehu Kamaan, Old Mumbai will be completely stopped and will go to the desired destination via Dehu Gaon.

·         Traffic coming from Mumbai Pune Express Highway will be completely closed at Somatane Phata, Dehu Road exit.

·         All traffic going to Mumbai via Bengaluru Highway will be completely banned from the old highway only from Kiwale Bridge and heavy and small vehicles will go to their destination via express highway. Also, two-wheelers will go from Kiwale Panchar via Krishna Chowk, Lodha Skim, Gahunje village to the desired destination.

·         All types of traffic coming from Mumbai to Pune will go to their destination via Bengaluru Highway from Central Chowk. 40. As the procession will take the old highway, after reaching Bhakti Shakti Chowk, the traffic is being diverted through Vadgaon Chowk.

Talegaon Traffic Department

·         By closing the entry of heavy and bulky traffic on Talegaon Chakan Road 548-D towards Mumbai. Vehicles en route will proceed to their destination via HP Chowk in Mahalunge Traffic Division.

·         All types of traffic coming from Talegaon Gaothan to Limb Phata will not go straight and to the right but will go to the desired destination on the left side.

·         All traffic coming to ABC Petrol Pump Chowk via Bellador will go to the desired destination on the left instead of going straight and right.

The above traffic changes are applicable from 6.00 am on 24/1/2024, all types of vehicles will be closed for traffic (except the vehicles of essential service) and the traffic will be smoothened as the morcha moves forward. Hence, motorists should use alternative routes.
