Traffic changes announced in Pimpri Chinchwad ahead of Tukaram Beej Sohala. Check details
From 25th March (Wednesday), on the occasion of Tukaram Maharaj Beej festival, the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police has announced traffic changes to ensure smooth traffic flow.
As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police,
Sant Shrestha Tukaram Maharaj Beej Utsav will be celebrated in Dehugaon on 27/3/2024. A large number of Varkari community members, devotees, Varkaris, etc come for darshan with their vehicles. Due to this, chance of traffic congestions remains in Dehugaon area.
Hence, for traffic flow to remain smooth, the following orders are being issued:
· Entry to Dehugaon from Dehugaon Arch (Old Mumbai-Pune Highway) is being closed for all types of vehicles (Excluding Public Transport Buses and Dindi Vehicles).
· All types of vehicles are prohibited from coming from Mahindra Circle to Fujitsu Corner or Kanbe Chowk / IT Park Chowk.
  Alternate Route – From Mahindra Circle to Nighoje to Moifata via Diamond Chowk to the desired destination.
· All types of vehicles are being banned from Dehu Phata on Talegaon-Chakan road going to Dehugaon.
  Alternate Route – Vehicles on the said route will go to the desired destination via HP Chowk.
· Access of all types of heavy vehicles going from Chakan Talegaon Chowk and Spicer Chowk on Nashik Pune Highway via Mahindra Circle to IT Park / Kanbe Chowk is being closed.
  Alternative Route 1 – Vehicles on the said route will go to the desired destination via Moshi Bharatmata Chowk.
  Alternative Route 2 – Vehicles on the said route will proceed to their destination via Mahindra Circle – Endurance Chowk – HP Chowk.
· The road from Dehu Arch to 14 Talakari Arch to Bhairavanath Chowk is closed for all types of vehicles.
· Road from Khandelwal Chowk to Dehukman (Main) to Parandwal Chowk closed for all types of vehicles.
· Traffic from Old Palkhi Marg (Kand Patil Chowk) to Zende Mala (Jakatnaka) is being made one-way.
In this way, the above traffic routes will remain closed for all types of vehicles from 25/3/2024 at 12 pm to 27/3/2024 at night till 21:00 pm or until the traffic is smooth (except for emergency vehicles).
Hence, citizens should use alternative routes and due to the increase in population in Dehugaon area, the devotees coming for darshan should use public transport as much as possible. This appeal is being made by the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police.
